Our OMS brand MICS instruments are used to perform sub 2.0 millimeters micro incision cataract surgery (MICS). 

Our range of MICS instruments includes:

  • Micro Pre Chopper.

  • Micro Forceps.

  • Micro Scissors.

Micro Pre Chopper: Our Micro Pre chopper is used to chop the nucleus prior to phacoemulsification, thus reducing PHACO energy consumed and time take for PHACO emulsification. This chopper has a curved 20 gauge design. It is available in the stainless steel and titanium variants.

Micro Forceps: These are available in the following designs:

  • Micro Capsulorhexis Forceps: Micro capsulorhexis forceps are used to manipulate the anterior capsule and grasp the tissues, they helps creating a centered and well-rounded capsulorhexis during the cataract surgery. They are available in 20 gauge, 23 guage and 24 gauge sizes. These are further available in stainless steel and titanium variants.

  • Micro Plain Forceps: Micro plain forceps are mainly used for intraocular suturing. They are available in 23 gauge size. These are available in stainless steel and titanium variants.

  • Micro Serated Forceps: Micro serrated forceps are mainly used for peeling coarse and fibrotic membranes. They are available in the 23 gauge size. These are available in stainless steel and titanium variants.

  • Micro End Gripping Forceps: Micro end gripping forceps are mainly used for peeling and holding delicate membranes. They are available in the 23 gauge size. These are available in stainless steel and titanium variants.

  • Micro Gripping Forceps: Micro gripping forceps are mainly used for peeling of ILM and gripping of fine membranes. They are available in the 23 gauge size. These are available in stainless steel and titanium variants.

  • Micro Pick Forceps: Micro pick forceps are mainly used for peeling and stripping of membranes. They are available in the 23 gauge size. These are available in stainless steel and titanium variants.

  • Micro Scalloped Asymmetrical Forceps: Micro scalloped asymmetrical forceps are mainly used for holding ILM and fine epiretinal membranes. They are available in the 23 gauge size. These are available in stainless steel and titanium variants.

  • Micro Foreign Body Forceps: Micro Foreign Body forceps are mainly used to remove intraocular foreign bodies. They are available in the 23 gauge size. These are available in stainless steel and titanium variants.

Micro Scissors: Our micro scissors are available in the following designs: 

  • Micro Sharp Tip Curved Scissors: Our Micro sharp tip curved scissors are available in the 20 gauge size. These are available in stainless steel and titanium variants.

  • Micro Straight Scissors: Our Micro straight scissors are mainly used to cut the peripheral membranes. They are available in 23 gauge size. These are available in stainless steel and titanium variants.

  • Micro Curved Scissors: Our Micro curved scissors are mainly used to cut the membranes on the surface of the retina. They are available in 23 gauge size. These are available in stainless steel and titanium variants.

  • Micro 45 Degree Vertical Scissors: Our Micro 45 degree vertical scissors offer excellent control during cutting with minimum risk to the retina. They are available in 23 gauge size. These are available in stainless steel and titanium variants.
