Our Sharpedge brand Irrigation/Aspiration cannulas are used for the irrigation and aspiration mainly during the Small Incision Cataract Surgery (SICS). This helps in the removal of cortex and viscoelastic during the SICS procedure.  

Our range of Irrigation/Aspiration cannulas include:

  • Simcoe Regular.

  • Simcoe Reverse.

  • J Shape I and A.

  • 12 O’Clock I and A.

  • Gills.

  • Coaxial I and A.

Simcoe Regular: Simcoe cannulas are usually double barrel cannulas, offering simultaneous irrigation and aspiration. Our Simcoe Regular cannulas are curved with a 0.3 millimeters aspiration port. These are available in the 20 gauge, 21 gauge, 22 gauge, 23 gauge and 24 gauge sizes. They are further available in both the reusable and disposable variants.

Simcoe Reverse: Simcoe Reverse cannulas are an inverted form of Simcoe regular cannulas. Our Simcoe Reverse cannulas are curved with a 0.3 millimeters aspiration port. These are available in the 20 gauge, 21 gauge, 22 gauge and 23 gauge sizes. They are further available in both the reusable and disposable variants.

J Shape I and A: J Shape I and A cannula is usually double barrel cannula, offering simultaneous irrigation and aspiration. It has a curved “J” shaped aspiration arm with a 0.3 millimeters aspiration port. Our J Shape I and A cannula is only available in the 23 gauge size. It is further available in both the reusable and disposable variants.

12 O’Clock I and A: 12 O’Clock I and A cannula is usually double barrel cannula, offering simultaneous irrigation and aspiration. It has a curved aspiration arm with a 0.3 millimeters aspiration port at the 12 O’Clock position. This cannula is only available in the 23 gauge size. It is further available in both the reusable and disposable variants.

Gills: Gills is a straight Irrigation and Aspiration cannula. Our Gills cannula is only available in 23 gauge size. It is further available in both the reusable and disposable variants.

Coaxial I and A: Coaxial I and A cannula has irrigation and aspiration arms on the same axis. The Irrigation arm is 17 gauge in size and the aspiration arm is 23 gauge in size. It has a 0.3 millimeters aspiration port. It is available in the straight or curved version. It is only available in the reusable variant.
